Yes. The furthest back my Dad has traced our ancestry is to a Napoleonic soldier. He was called Dumar Gaultier but somewhere along the way, the 'L' has been dropped and we now have 'Gautier'.
There is this really cute box that my Dad has. Dumar made it for his lover when he was in the war. He collected hundreds of tiny shells and arranged them inside a hexagonal shell box. It is the most beautiful thing i have ever seen and never fails to make me feel teary because so much love has gone into it. It is honestly stunning. I will have to get a picture of it.
Taking you on a journey through my life and documenting the triumphs and trials that come hand in hand with having an eating disorder. Hopefully, one day i will be able to look back on this and see just how far i have come.
